Timber Lake Playhouse Announces Auditions for All-Area Teen Production of Disney’s High School Musical

RiverReader.org Staff Report

MOUNT CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse will hold auditions for the All-Area Teen Production of Disney’s High School Musical on Saturday, May 5 from 10 – 4 and on Sunday, May 6 from 2 – 5 at the theatre on Black Oak Road south of Mt. Carroll.

Get ready to audition for one of the Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians or Skater Dudes. You’ll tell the story of the basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, as he discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. And you know the rest of the story.

Disney’s High School Musical will be performed July 9 at 7:30 p.m. and July 10, 12, 13, and 14 at 2 p.m.

“Timber Lake Playhouse is committed to bringing more opportunity for our local artists to become involved in the work at the playhouse,” said Executive Director, Dan Danielowski. “We have a great program that should be shared locally as much as possible.”
