The Mount Carroll Fire Department’s Invitational Water Fights held Saturday, Sept. 16

MOUNT CARROLL — The Mount Carroll Fire Department’s Invitational Water Fights featured both ground and overhead water fight competitions at the burning grounds on North Galena Street. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mount Carroll Fire Department. Ten teams competed in the days festivities.

Brian Tribley of the Pink Heals Sauk Valley Chapter from Rock Falls  poses with Caleb Libberton of Mount Carroll. The pink fire trucks travel the area promoting cancer awareness for women.

The Pink Heals Sauk Valley fire truck was also at the water fights. Pink Heals Sauk Valley provides home visits to women fighting cancer and other diseases, with support from local law enforcement, fire department or EMS. The pink fire truck also attends community events and local fundraisers.
