EPC Homecoming Parade Seeks Entrants!

The theme for EPC’s Homecoming events is “It’s the Season for Victories!”. Each class has been given a different season (Seniors – Christmas, Juniors – Thanksgiving, Sophomores – Easter, Freshmen – Valentine’s Day) to use for their floats, locker decorations, and skits. Festivities are scheduled for the week of September 24th through the 29th. The parade will be Thursday night, September 27th, at 5:30 p.m. in Lanark. A pep rally will follow at 7 p.m. in Pearl City. LaVern Voss — August 11, 1928 –  September 17, 2018 LaVern Voss, 90, of Lena, formerly Pearl City, passed away September 17, 2018 at FHN after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s disease.  He was born August 11, 1928 the son of John and Edna (Roberts) Voss in Pearl City, IL. LaVern graduated from Pearl City High School in 1946.  After high school, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and earned a Purple Heart.  Upon returning home from service he farmed for many years until 1968.  Until his retirement, he worked for Pearl City Elevator and for Stephenson Service Company. ...
