Savanna Public Works To Purchase New Vehicle – By Michael Miller

BY MICHAEL MILLER The City of Savanna’s Public Works Department has been approved for a new vehicle, thanks to the action at the Savanna City Council meeting on January 8, 2019. Alderman Pat Sanchez delivered the Finance Committee report, including a request for funds for a new vehicle for Public Works. This is a budgeted item, Superintendent of Public Works John Lindeman noted, which will replace the department’s current 2006 Chevy Colorado, which has amassed about 152,000 miles.  Lindeman said this vehicle had experienced multiple issues in the past year and was no longer safe to put on the road. ...
