An invitation from Pastor Rich Koch, of the Dutchtown Church of the Brethren, located at:
25257 Dutchtown Rd
Today I offer you an invitation. For many of you, my dear Faith Book Family, it has been a while since you have been in Church. Maybe you were recently in one to attend a Wedding or perhaps a Funeral, but when was the last time you were there just for yourself? And I mean that, not to go for a family member or friend pressuring you, but to go because there you will find folks just like yourselves trying to make since of this crazy, at times pain causing world!
It’s Christmas! All around you in Churches, Children’s Christmas programs are taking place, where a cardboard box becomes a manger and toddlers become sheep. Musical programs fill the air with voices like mine that cannot carry a tune, yet we sing out strong and joyously. Christmas Eve candles will be lit and Holy Communion served. When was the last time you had Communion? If you can’t remember, it’s been too long!
This Christmas attend a Church of your choosing, you will walk away blessed. This coming Sunday at Dutchtown is our Children’s program at 9:30 a.m. and then our Christmas Eve Candle Lighting and Communion service is at 6:30p.m. You are welcome! Today, I offer you this invitation.
