LANARK — Mike and Jodi York will host the Carroll County Archery SPIN Club for its new season on Wednesday, April 5, at the York’s farm, 25269 E. Locust Road in Lanark.
There is no cost for 4-H’ers to attend. Cost for non 4-H’ers is $20, which covers all the sessions. The Archery SPIN club is open to all youth 8-18 years old that would like to learn how to shoot or advance their skills.
“A parent must accompany you,” said Leanne Rahn, Carroll County Program Coordinator, 4-H and Youth. “If your mom or dad cannot, then you need to find another adult to be responsible for you. Dress for the weather. You need to arrive at least a half hour before ending time if you are going to be late and want to shoot. Bring what equipment you have with you, but equipment will also be available for use.”
Practice sessions/workshops for the spring are scheduled for Wednesday’s, from 5 to 6 p.m. on April 5, April 19, May 3, May 17, and May 31; then on Saturdays April 8 and 15 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Summer sessions will be scheduled at a later date.
On the days of scheduled practices, if the weather is questionable, please call one of the instructors to confirm practice will be taking place: Mike York at 815-266-1992 or Chris Dertz at 815-275-9709; or Coordinator Jodi York 815-297-4362.
