Gayle I. Yenney — May 19, 1926 – March 25, 2018 Gayle I. Yenney, age 91, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, died on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. Memorials may be given to Shriners Hospital for Children-Chicago in Gayle’s memory. Gayle was born on May 19, 1926, the daughter of Leroy and Mabel (Brunner) Schubert in Pleasant Valley Township, Jo Daviess County. Gayle married Clarence A. Yenney on April 13, 1946 in Mt. Carroll. Clarence died on February 22, 1998 in Mt. Carroll. Gayle was a homemaker who cherished taking care of her family. She was a caring and compassionate person who enjoyed helping others. Gayle worked as a Nurse’s Aid and in the cafeteria at the Lincoln School, Savanna. She also babysat in her home and enjoyed the companionship of her dog, Fanci. Most of all, Gayle cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. William “Bill” Lee Schall — September 14, 1953 – March 22, 2018 William “Bill” Lee Schall, age 64, of Mt. Carroll , Illinois, died suddenly on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Morrison Community Hospital. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. Cremation Rites will be accorded following the service. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll. A memorial fund has been established in William’s memory. William was born on September 14, 1953, the son of George and Virginia (Walter) Schall in Savanna, Illinois. He attended Mt. Carroll High School and graduated with the Class of 1971. After graduation, William attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. He married the love of his life, Kathleen A. Sweitzer on April 21, 1973 in Lanark, Illinois. William was a hardworking man and enjoyed life’s simple things. He worked at Atwood, later Dura Manufacturing in Mt. Dennis A. Miller

Dennis A. Miller — January 6, 1946 – March 21, 2018 Dennis A. Miller, age 72, of Lanark, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at home. Cremation rites have been accorded and private burial of ashes will be held at the Lanark Cemetery at a later date. Dennis was born January 6, 1946 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Miles and Margaret (Derrer) Miller. He is a 1964 graduate of the Lanark High School. Dennis then received a teaching degree from McPherson College in Kansas. After graduation, Dennis taught in Milledgeville Schools for two years and worked on the family farm. He then found his passion in life, truck driving across country. Dennis drove truck for many years, hauling just about everything all over the U.S. He loved seeing the country and getting home to see family. Carroll, Illinois and Rockford, Illinois passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at her daughter’s home after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Mt. Carroll, with Pastor Donna Hoffman of the Mt. Carroll United Methodist Church officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. Dale E. Schultz — April 20, 1946 – March 19, 2018 Dale E. Schultz age 71, of Savanna, Illinois passed away at home, Monday, March 19, 2018. A memorial visitation will be held on April 7, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. Memorials may be given to the family in Dale’s memory. Dale was born on April 20, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Benard and Dorothy (Sidesky) Schultz. He attended York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. On June 22, 1978, Dale married Deborah Holst. They celebrated 39 years of marriage. Dale worked as a steel fabricator/pipefitter for most of life, finally retiring from ADM in Clinton, Iowa. During his retirement, Dale was a small business owner, he ran a small machine shop in Savanna, he also was a commercial fisherman. He loved to try everything and keep busy. Dale felt at home in the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed his pet rabbits, and working as an amateur blacksmith. Most of all Dale treasured the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
