During the May 15 regular school board meeting, Steve Herkert of the Northwest Region of the Illinois Principals Association made a presentation recognizing her as the 2016-17 recipient of their Leadership Award for Non-Certified Support Personnel. Pool opens on Memorial Day in Mount Carroll

County 4-H Shooting Sports Shotgun SPIN Club to meet Clinics for the 4-H Shooting Sports Shotgun and air rifle projects will be held at 5 p.m. Thursdays, June 1 through July 27, at the Clark VanBuskirk shooting range, 8989 VanBuskirk Road, Mount Carroll. The Shotgun SPIN Club is open to current and non-4-H youth 10 and older by Sept. 1, 2016. The Air Rifle SPIN Club is open to current and non-4-H youth 8-18 years old by Sept. 1, 2016.
