She was born April 30, 1916, in Loran, IL to parents, August and Clara (Busekros) Koeller. She was a graduate of Linden High School in Linden, WI. She married Karl W. Johnson on September 14, 1940, in Manchester, IA. She was a member of Zion Community Church in Pearl City. Survivors include her children, Ronald K. (Sharon) Johnson, Beth A. (Carl) Pickard; grandchildren, Jeff (Amy) Johnson, Kim (Mike) Plager, Dan (friend, Renee) Pickard, Nathan (Christine) Pickard, Dustin (friend, Angie) Pickard; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Hailey Johnson, Ryne (Callie) Plager, Kristin (Aaron) Dinderman, Jarin Pickard, Adeline, Kiptin and Deklan Pickard; great-great-grandchildren, Oliver and Camryn Plager, Daatin Dinderman; and special friend, Marcia Hume. She is preceded in death by her son, Gail A. Johnson; husband, Karl W. Johnson; brother, Paul Koeller; parents, August and Clara Koeller; and stepmom, Ann Koeller. This smiley, vibrant lady was the real “Homemaker”. Her life was filled with helping others, in particular, her husband and children. She loved family and the times they could gather to celebrate. Obituary November 18, 1918 – April 17, 2017 Ronald “Bill” B. Ritenour, age 98, of Mt. Carroll, Illinois passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society, Mt. Carroll. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mt. Carroll. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carroll. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Ronald was born November 18, 1918, the son of Denton and Amy (Kessler) Ritenour in Mt. Carroll. He attended Mt. Carroll Schools. On November 23, 1940, Ronald married Grace Rogers in Clinton, Iowa. They celebrated 65 years of marriage until Grace’s death on July 3, 2006. Ronald drove livestock truck for Leslie Myers in his younger years. He also farmed for 16 years, and worked for Crouse Plumbing & Heating in Mt. Carroll for four years. He then worked for the Carroll Service Company for 20 years until retirement. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mt. Carroll. He also belonged to the Moose Lodge since 1943, and was its oldest member, as well as a lifetime member of the Legion of the Moose. Ronald was quiet and patient. Obituary June 04, 1942 – April 16, 2017 John “J.D.” David Gundlach, age 74, of Savanna, Illinois, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded.  No visitation is scheduled. John was born June 4, 1942, the son of Leslie “Red” and Larissa (Davis) Gundlach in Savanna. He attended Savanna High School and graduated with the Class of 1960. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Beloit College in 1964. John married Beth Schmidt on July 21, 1979. John worked as a buyer for SBC in Schaumburg, Illinois for 18 years until retiring in 2004. He also worked as a police officer and Fire Commissioner in Lake Zurich, Illinois. He enjoyed coaching Girl’s fast pitch softball, reading, and spending time with his family and his dog, Molly. John will be dearly missed by his wife of 37 years, Beth; his two daughters, George Ann (Mare) Gundlach of Waukegan, Illinois, and Lisa Gundlach of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one stepson, Mike (Heather) Enders of Richmond, Illinois; a stepdaughter, Tina Coniglio of Lake City, Colorado; nine grandchildren, and one sister, Nany (Richard) Clinite of Darien, Illinois.
